THAI UNION GROUP RECOGNISED IN SEAFOOD POWER 100

Thai Union Group recognised in Seafood Power 100. Thai Union Group CEO Thiraphong Chansiri and Group Director of Sustainability Darian McBain have been recognised in the IntraFish Seafood Power 100, which ranks the most influential executives in the global seafood industry.

Thiraphong, a two-time IntraFish Person of the Year winner, topped the rankings at number one, recognized for the integral role he played in Thailand’s move towards a sustainable and ethically sound seafood industry. IntraFish also noted Thiraphong’s efforts to drive constant innovation and change and his ongoing push for acquisitions and global growth at Thai Union.

“You can’t accuse Chansiri of thinking small, and that’s why he sits firmly on top,” IntraFish said.

Dr. McBain was listed at number 46 in recognition of her efforts to push Thai Union to increase its focus on sustainability.

“Thai Union was wrestling with a range of problems along its supply chain, and McBain was central in pushing the company toward transparency and sustainability, so much so that the group is now considered a clear leader on the issue in the sector,” IntraFish said.
