The Must-Attend Event for the Fishing Industry, Irish Skipper Expo 2025

With all exhibition stands now sold out and a record-breaking number of companies set to exhibit, this year’s Irish Skipper Expo promises to be an unmissable event! Thanks to the generous sponsors, BIM and Arachas, attendees can look forward to an unforgettable experience featuring everything from creels to trawls and beyond.

Over 140 companies from 13 different countries will be in attendance, offering an extensive range of commercial fishing gear, equipment, and supplies—all conveniently gathered under one roof.

Sharon Boyle, Commercial Fishing Manager at Mara Media, the event’s organiser, shared her excitement:

“Since announcing that we will now host just one annual show, industry interest has been overwhelming. We recognise the evolving nature of the fishing sector in both Ireland and Scotland, and our goal is to curate an outstanding exhibition that showcases the finest products and services available.”

This year’s lineup is truly impressive, featuring a mix of 40 new exhibitors alongside over 100 returning companies. The support from across the British Isles is particularly strong, with 33 UK-based businesses joining the event in Limerick.

Additionally, we are welcoming exhibitors from across Europe—including France, Denmark, Poland, and Turkey—as well as global participants from Newfoundland, the U.S., and China. This international gathering provides an invaluable opportunity to see products up close and connect with suppliers in person, rather than relying on online or phone communication.”

The excitement doesn’t stop there! The Expo weekend kicks off with two major industry conferences on Thursday, 20th March—the IFA Aquaculture Conference and the NMCI Seafarers’ Conference 2025—leading into an action-packed exhibition.

What to Expect at the Expo:

• Six boats on display – Five outside the arena from G Smyth Boats, Kenbro Boats, Ryan and Roberts, Audacious Marine Boats & Moulding, plus a vessel inside the venue courtesy of O’Sullivan’s Marine.
• A showcase from the National Inshore Fishermen’s Association (NIFA) – Attendees can sample freshly prepared seafood and meet NIFA directors to discuss key inshore products.
• Exclusive Exhibitor Networking Event

To cap off an exciting day, The Skipper invites all exhibitors and their guests to the Show Reception at The Terrace on Friday, 21st March, at 5 PM. This complimentary reception, sponsored by SeaQuest Systems, Mooney Boats, and G Smyth Boats, is the perfect opportunity to unwind and network in a relaxed, social setting—just steps away from the Boatmart outside the Sports Arena.
