WELLFISH TECH SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETES INTERIM FINANCING ROUND

WELLFISH TECH SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETES INTERIM

WellFish Tech successfully completes interim financing round.  WellFish Tech has successfully completed a significantly oversubscribed interim financing round, reflecting continued investor confidence in the company’s commercial development and technology platform.

The financing follows a period of increasing commercial activity, including new agreements with leading aquaculture companies in Norway and Iceland, and continued collaborations across North America, South America and the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The global aquaculture industry faces increasing pressure to improve fish health outcomes and reduce preventable losses. This financing round reflects the investor vision and the growing market for solutions to this challenge.

“The response from investors reflects what we are hearing from customers,” says Erik Tveteraas, Group Finance Director at WellFish Tech. “The ability to see what is coming 28 days out changes the business, and investors understand what that precision is worth commercially. The demand for physiological data in production decision-making is accelerating, aligned with increasing pressure to improve fish health outcomes.”

Tveteraas added that investor interest was driven not only by the company’s mortality prediction model, WellFish PredictTM, but also by the company’s broader product and intellectual property pipeline, which is focused on expanding the application of physiological biomarkers into additional areas of fish health, welfare and quality assessment.

The round included participation from undisclosed investors across Norway, the United Kingdom and the European Union, spanning venture capital, family office and private investment networks. The financing strengthens WellFish Tech’s position as it continues its growth trajectory and prepares for a Series A financing process during 2027.

About WellFish Tech

WellFish Tech gives fish farmers a 28-day mortality forecast built from blood biochemistry – detecting early physiological signs of disease and stress weeks before visible symptoms, at an accuracy no environmental or production data alone can match. The method is built on the company’s own patents and non-lethal sampling methodology in line with Norwegian Food Safety Authority (Mattilsynet) regulations. Headquartered in Paisley, Scotland, WellFish Tech employs 26 people and operates in the United Kingdom and Ireland, Norway, and Canada. www.wellfishtech.com
