NEW CEO FOR MØRENOT

New CEO for Mørenot Aquaculture. Mørenot Aquaculture has appointed a new CEO, Kristian Steinshylla (53), who was formerly Head of Business Development in Certex Norge, a leading supplier within lifting- mooring- and shipping equipment.

Earlier this year the company merged with Erling Haug AS, where Steinshylla was CEO, and former head of economy and administration. Certex is one of several European companies in the division Lifting Solution, which is a part of the family owned business and industry Group Axel Johnson International.

“Kristian has more than 25 years of relevant experience within business management and sales, and he has worked for many years towards the Aquaculture- and Seafood industry. His international experience will also be a strength to Our Board of Management in Mørenot. We very much look forward to Kristian being a part of our team already in August,” says Arne Birkeland, CEO of Mørenot Group.

“Over the past 9 years, I have had the pleasure of managing Erling Haug AS. After managing the Company through the merge with its mother company in the beginning of this year, I felt the timing was right to search for a new challenge,” says Steinshylla.

“Mørenot has everything I have been searching for. The company has high ambitions and is a serious player both within the fishery- and aquaculture industry, and it has got a strong management. They have long traditions and a lot of competence, which makes the company well positioned for further growth. I am thrilled to get the opportunity to be a part of this, along with a lot of competent people in Mørenot. I will enter my new position both humble and crystal clear, and I am really looking forward to start working after the summer holidays.”

Kristian Steinshylla was born in 1965 and lives near Trondheim. He has a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Bodø.
