SPAROS and aquaManager Launch OptiFeeSH: Data-driven feeding for better growth. SPAROS and aquaManager have announced the commercial launch of OptiFeeSH. This data-driven solution delivers optimised feeding strategies and growth plans tailored to site-specific conditions and production objectives.

Following a multi-year development and pilot phase, OptiFeeSH has delivered quantifiable benefits in commercial pilots across land-based and offshore operations. In pre-growing phases, OptiFeeSH feeding plans achieved up to a 50% increase in biomass growth compared to baseline growth without the tool. The solution also saved significant time for technical teams restructuring feeding plans and preparing production forecasts, while improving growth predictability.

OptiFeeSH brings a differentiated, data-driven approach to feeding, enabling producers to move beyond trial-and-error strategies while balancing growth performance, feed efficiency, and profitability.

“The strength of this tool lies in its ability to generate reliable feeding tables that our feeders can confidently implement in the field without fear of compromising growth,” said Rui Amaral, Production Controller at Flatlantic.

OptiFeeSH is jointly developed and co-owned by SPAROS and aquaManager, combining SPAROS’ knowledge in fish nutrition and applied R&D with aquaManager’s expertise on production management and decision-support platforms. OptiFeeSH is now commercially available to farms of all sizes, following a consulting-led deployment approach with the option for independent licensed use once internal capabilities are established.
