BAADER to Showcase Next-Generation Processing Solutions at SPG 2026

BAADER will present its latest seafood processing technologies at Seafood Processing Global 2026, taking place from 21–23 April in Barcelona, Spain. Visitors can meet the team at stand 3JJ601 to explore solutions designed to improve yield, automation, food safety, animal welfare and raw material utilisation.

Under the theme “Solutions on Demand”, BAADER’s presence will focus on addressing key challenges facing the seafood sector, including rising costs, labour shortages, stricter regulatory requirements and increasing pressure to operate more sustainably. The company continues to develop flexible, reliable systems aimed at delivering long-term value for processors.

“We want to demonstrate how seafood processors can increase productivity, improve quality and create more value from every fish,” said Nils Rabe, Global Sales Director of BAADER and CEO of BAADER North America. “Our solutions are designed to help customers respond to changing market demands, labour constraints and rising expectations in food safety and sustainability.”

Modular solutions across the processing chain

BAADER will highlight its modular systems, designed to adapt to different species, production volumes and operational requirements. Drawing on more than a century of experience, the company aims to combine efficiency, sustainability and reliability across the full processing line.

In primary processing, key technologies include the BAADER 102 stunning and bleeding system for salmon, supporting verified animal welfare and product quality, and the BAADER 144 Pro, a CIP-ready solution with advanced hygienic design for improved cleanability and consistent hygiene control.

The company will also demonstrate how intelligent systems and advanced algorithms can support higher levels of automation. These technologies enable processors to optimise decisions for each individual fish, improve product flow and maximise value while reducing waste.

In filleting and further processing, BAADER will showcase its flagship BAADER 581 Pro for salmon filleting, alongside flexible solutions for multi-species processing, fillet finishing and trimming. Additional equipment for descaling, skinning and pin bone removal will also be featured, supporting greater utilisation of both premium products and by-products.

A further highlight is BAADER’s modular processing platform, which allows systems to be configured, upgraded and expanded over time. With integrated controls, modern user interfaces, vision technology and AI-based trimming features, the platform is designed to help processors remain competitive in a rapidly evolving market.

Industry insights and networking opportunities

As part of the conference programme, Nils Rabe will present “The Future of Seafood Processing” on Tuesday, 21 April from 14:00 to 14:45 in room CC 5.2. The session will explore key trends including efficiency, yield optimisation, automation and digital integration.

Following the presentation, visitors are invited to continue discussions at the BAADER stand, where an Expert Talk with Rabe and the BAADER Fish management team will offer further insight and opportunities for exchange.

Refreshments and light snacks will be available throughout the event, providing an informal setting for networking.

At the Expo, BAADER will demonstrate how its solutions support improved productivity, product quality, food safety and raw material utilisation across a wide range of seafood applications.
