Oyster Shucking, New Product Debuts and the Seafood Excellence Awards Headline the 2023 Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America

A variety of exciting, insightful and informative events await attendees of the Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America. This year’s special events include new product showcases, the annual Seafood Excellence Awards, chef demonstrations, a new Empowerment Lounge with brand and wellbeing coaching, and the popular Oyster Shucking Competition. Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America, North America’s largest seafood trade exposition produced by Diversified Communications, will take place March 12-to-14, 2023 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

Designed to enhance attendee’s experience and product knowledge, the special events are free to all attendees. The 2023 Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America special events include:

  • Empowerment Lounge – Daily

Experts at the Empowerment Lounge will provide individual and group coaching opportunities, helping attendees power up their brand, brain and being.

  • Product Showcases
    • New Product Showcase – Daily

The New Product Showcase features seafood products, condiments and culinary dishes launched within the past 18 months by exhibiting companies.

  • Featured Product Showcase – Daily

The Featured Product Showcase highlights the best seafood products at the event regardless of the product’s introduction date.

  • Seafood Excellence Awards – March 12 |3:30 p.m.

The annual Seafood Excellence Awards recognize and celebrate the best new retail and foodservice seafood products in the North American seafood market.

  • Chef Demonstrations
    • Japan Farmed Fish Export Association ­March 13 | 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Mr. Hirotoshi Ogawa, Director General, World Sushi Skills Institute, will explain how to handle fish, make traditional Japanese sushi and think about hygiene through sushi.

  • Two Fish Foods March 13 | 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Yasmin Curtis, CEO and Founder of Two Fish Crab Shack, will demonstrate how to recreate a one-pot seafood boil at home with Two Fish Foods’ Seafood Boil Bags, which offer three different types of seafood boils including snow crab legs, shrimp, corn and potatoes, mixed with its iconic “3 The Chi Way” sauce.

  • Oyster Shucking Competition March 13 | 2:30 p.m.

During the 15th annual Oyster Shucking Competition, contestants will pit against each other and the clock to shuck oysters as fast as they can.
