STRATEGIC BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE SEAFOOD SUPPLY CHAIN IN ASIA’S GROWING MARKET

STRATEGIC BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE SEAFOOD SUPPLY CHAIN

Strategic business opportunities for the seafood supply chain in Asia’s growing market at Seafood Expo Asia/Seafood Processing Asia. With seafood demand on the rise in Asia, Seafood Expo Asia/Seafood Processing Asia unites the global supply chain in one place, connecting businesses with strategic opportunities in the region. Running from 2 to 4 September 2026 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore, the event offers three days of face-to-face business, product discovery and industry education at the heart of the world’s most dynamic seafood market.

The event draws seafood suppliers from around the globe alongside buyers representing airlines, cruise lines, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, distributors, importers and more. This year’s edition also incorporates Seafood Processing Asia, expanding the show’s scope to address the demand across the continent for processing equipment, packaging innovations, aquaculture solutions and cold chain infrastructure, among others.

The exhibitor roster for 2026 reflects the breadth of the global industry. Countries represented include Ecuador, Canada, Chile, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Morocco, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, the UAE, the United States, Vietnam and Yemen, among others. Confirmed seafood companies include AquaChile, Austral Fisheries, Blumar Asia Ltd, Vinh Hoan Corporation and Omarsa S.A., while the processing and equipment sector will see participation from BAADER, the FAO Global Seafood Alliance, Guy Cotten and Silikal GmbH and more.

“For UK and European suppliers, breaking into Asian markets has traditionally meant navigating a fragmented landscape with limited visibility on who’s buying and what they need,” said Brenna Hensley, Vice President of Seafood Events at Diversified. “Our Business Matchmaking Program changes that. Last year it facilitated over 440 pre-arranged meetings with verified high-volume Asian buyers in just three days. That level of direct, qualified access simply doesn’t exist anywhere else in the region.”

Business Matchmaking, Awards and Conference Programme

A key draw for many attendees is the Business Matchmaking Programme, designed to connect qualified high-volume seafood importers and retail or foodservice buyers with the suppliers best placed to meet their specific product requirements. These dedicated pre-arranged meetings take much of the guesswork out of the sourcing process and provide a strategic advantage to participating suppliers and buyers looking to make new connections.

The exhibit hall will also play host to live culinary demonstrations, product samplings and a dedicated product showcase, culminating in the Seafood Excellence Asia Awards reception, where the best new seafood products at the show will be announced and celebrated.

Alongside the trade floor, an educational conference programme will bring together leading voices from across the sector. Topics on the agenda include seafood consumption trends and market outlook across Asia, the role of artificial intelligence in the industry, sustainability certifications, processing innovation, and the latest developments in recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) fish farming.
