Fish Focus was honoured to attend the National Fish and Chip Awards 2025, held at the prestigious Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge, London. This annual celebration showcases the very best in Britain’s beloved fish and chip industry, recognising the dedication, skill, and passion of those who bring the nation’s favourite meal to our tables.

Hundreds of seafood professionals, chip shop owners and industry experts gathered for this highly anticipated event, marking  another year of hard work and innovation in the sector.

The finalists, who had already proven their excellence, awaited the ultimate accolade in the fish and chip world, with the winners set to be crowned at the ceremony.

Leading the event was Andrew Crook, president of the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF), the organisation behind the awards. He was joined by TV personality Matt Baker, who brought energy and charisma as the event’s host.

Now in its 37th year, the National Fish and Chip Awards continue to highlight and reward outstanding businesses and individuals across the UK who make significant contributions to foodservice. The awards celebrate those who ensure high-quality fish and chips, deliver exceptional customer service, and create opportunities for growth within the industry.
