NORMEX AS ENTERS INTO AGREEMENT

Normex AS enters into agreement with Aas Mekaniske Verkstad. Normex AS, based in Ålesund, has entered into an agreement with Aas Mekaniske Verksted for the delivery of ozone systems for seven wellboats, newbuild numbers 215–221. Deliveries will take place on an ongoing basis until the final system is handed over on 2 February 2027.

Aas Mekaniske Verksted specialises in the development and construction of modern wellboats, with a strong focus on the environment, fish welfare, quality and cost efficiency. The agreement with Normex supports these ambitions.

“This is an important contract for us, and we are very proud to be working with Aas Mekaniske Verksted. The project confirms our expertise and capacity in the development and delivery of advanced ozone systems,” says Stig Ove Johansen, Managing Director of Normex AS.

The ozone systems will contribute to efficient and environmentally friendly disinfection of wells and pipework on board the wellboats. The technology has been developed to reduce the need for chemicals and to support modern requirements for biosecurity, fish welfare and sustainable operations in the aquaculture industry.

The collaboration with Aas Mekaniske Verksted marks an important step forward for Normex and underlines the company’s commitment to technology that supports a more sustainable and future-oriented aquaculture industry.

The agreement represents a significant project for Normex AS and strengthens the company’s position as a supplier of advanced solutions to the maritime industry and aquaculture sector.

“We are pleased to be working with Normex AS on this project. Their solutions will make an important contribution to the development of modern wellboats with high standards for quality, operational reliability and fish welfare,” says Hans Inge Aas, CTO at Aas Mekaniske Verksted.
