A great showcase for the fishing industry: Irish Skipper Expo 2025

With Irish Skipper Expo now taking place every two years, show organiser Mara Media is encouraging the whole industry to save the date and attend Irish Skipper Expo 2025, which promises to be a great showcase for the fishing industry. There are now over 100 companies confirmed to showcase their products and services at Irish Skipper Expo 2025, which will take place once more at UL Sport Arena in Limerick.

Companies represented at next year’s event will cover all sectors from creels to nets, engines, generator sets, vessel designers, shipyards, safety gear and advice, insurance, electronics, deck machinery, trawl doors, government agencies to name a few. The Expo offers a one-stop-shop providing all types of products and services under one roof.

Highlights will include a comprehensive range of marine engine suppliers from all over Ireland, the UK and even as far as the Netherlands. Two companies that specialise in marine engines attending the Expo are Proteum from Southampton, UK, and Westward Scania from Roscommon, Ireland.

Westward Scania has been a long-time exhibitor at the Irish Skipper expo. Peter Mallon of the company said: “It is a wonderful opportunity to meet customers and suppliers face to face. It also gives potential new customers the opportunity to meet with us and discuss their projects. We are looking forward to the 2025 Skipper Expo in Limerick. The location and facilities allow for a very professional looking show and the Irish Skipper staff always go above and beyond in their efforts to have a great Expo.”

Leading marine distributor, Proteum, will bring their wealth of knowledge and experience in marine diesel engines to the Irish Skipper Expo once again.  With an ever-growing list of products available to purchase, the company deliver marine diesel engines and support services to their worldwide customer base throughout the year. The company are UK and Ireland distributors for OXE Diesel Outboard, FNM and BUKH marine diesel engines, as well as Glendenning Controls and Konrad stern drives.

Simon Barnett, Proteum Sales Manager, says that their focus at the Irish Skipper Expo 2025 will be to give customers a clear understanding of how to improve their fuel economy and reduce emissions.
