CSA Ocean Sciences Acquires Tombo Environmental, LLC. CSA’s latest acquisition further strengthens the firm’s multidisciplinary marine survey offering.

CSA Ocean Sciences Inc. (CSA), a marine environmental consulting and survey company, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Tombo Environmental, LLC (Tombo), a consulting firm specialising in complex environmental sampling techniques and research and development of sampling equipment. As part of the agreement, Ian Stupakoff, the Founder and Principal of Tombo, joins CSA’s growing Science Department team as a Senior Scientist and Director of Sediment Profile Imaging (SPI) Sciences, based out of Olympia, Washington State.

Tombo, led by Mr. Stupakoff, brings more than two decades of experimental design, analytical laboratory work, and international field sampling expertise to CSA, with a specific focus on SPI. Mr. Stupakoff’s extensive experience in managing marine contaminant characterisation projects, environmental baseline studies, and long-term monitoring programmes makes him a perfect fit for CSA as the firm continues to expand its environmental sampling and imaging capabilities. All of Tombo’s legacy services and resources are now available through CSA’s domestic and international offices.
