The private sector will finance the promotion and in the first phase, public relations management will be carried out with promotion in digital media and alliances with opinion leaders, who disseminate the premium characteristics of Ecuadorian shrimp and the responsible practices under which it is produced.

“Aware of the problems that our main export product is currently facing, from the Vice Ministry of Export Promotion and Investments we join the efforts being made by the National Chamber of Aquaculture to re-establish the positioning of the Ecuadorian shrimp as a premium and safe product, strengthening its presence in the Chinese market. The good practices and biosecurity measures implemented in the country along the value chain to bring Ecuadorian shrimp to international markets demonstrate the effectiveness of public and private collaboration for the benefit of the Ecuadorian aquaculture sector. ”Lorena Konanz Baquerizo, Vice Minister of Promotion of Exports and Investments of the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments and Fisheries.
“We are focusing all our efforts to adequately communicate to Chinese consumers about the benefits of Ecuadorian shrimp such as its biosecurity protocols, its traceability from farm to table and other elements such as the non-use of antibiotics, as well as its unmatched texture and flavour, Ecuadorian shrimp is one of the healthiest proteins available in the market,” said José Antonio Camposano, Executive President of the National Chamber of Aquaculture.
