GSSI WELCOMES CGC GROUP TO ITS GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP

GSSI welcomes CGC Group to its global partnership. The Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative is pleased to announce that CGC Group has joined the GSSI Global Partnership as a Funding Partner.
CGC Group is a Japanese cooperative of regional grocery chains collaborating to contribute to the health, safety, and enrichment of local communities. CGC Group is the fifth Japanese organisation to join the GSSI Partnership, helping drive forward sustainable seafood development in the region.
“We are very pleased to be partnered with the Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative to provide more sustainable seafood for everyone,” said Mr. Atsuhiro Horiuchi, CGC Group CEO. “As the world looks to Japan in the lead up to the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, ensuring the supply of sustainable seafood is high on the agenda and CGC is committed to increasing its offering of certified seafood from GSSI recognised schemes”.
