TRI-PACK PACKAGING CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF SUCCESS

Tri-pack Packaging celebrating 50 years of success. Grimsby packaging company Tri-pack is this month celebrating 50 years of serving Europe’s seafood sector.
Initially founded by Stephen Clarke and Mike Thompson in November 1974, the business began serving Grimsby’s seafood sector with a range of packaging boxes and solutions, and has gone from strength to strength over the course of the last five decades.
Fifty years on, Tri-Pack manufactures and supplies sustainable packaging for an array of sectors, including fresh produce and pharmaceuticals, for customers across Europe. However, the company’s main focus is the seafood sector – supplying an impressive 7 million boxes in 2023 to the seafood sector alone.
Sustainability has become a watchword for Tri-pack in recent years – all of the company’s packaging is manufactured using polypropylene which is not only 100% recyclable, but their patented Coolseal seafood packaging range is the market leading alternative to EPS; helping seafood companies move away from polystyrene.
Helping reduce customers’ carbon footprint and supply chain costs has underpinned Tri-pack’s work with the seafood sector. In fact, Tri-pack packaging is proven to be the most eco-friendly packaging solution available for seafood packaging.
Henry Clarke, Managing Director at Tri-pack says:
“We are delighted to be celebrating Tri-pack’s half century this month. It’s a wonderful achievement and is testament to the people who have been part of our journey spanning five
decades.
“Although we now work with customers and suppliers across the UK and Europe, we remain extremely proud of our Grimsby roots and Tri-Pack continues to boast a strong workforce of dedicated Grimsby locals.”
Co-founder Stephen Clarke said:
“When we established Tri-pack back in 1974, we set out with a vision to provide Grimsby’s seafood sector with high-quality packaging solutions and an unrivalled service.
“We couldn’t imagine then that, 50 years on, we would still be working hand-in-hand with many of the same customers and suppliers – and providing sustainable packaging solutions across Europe. Here’s to the next 50 years!”
