Blue Ocean is located in Santiago, Chile, from where it sells fish and shellfish for the Porvenir-based production company, International Seafood, in which Royal Greenland also holds a 50% interest.
Royal Greenland continuously develops its business by investing in product areas in line with existing ranges. The investments in Blue Ocean and International Seafood will strengthen Royal Greenland’s current range with a portfolio of products that are in high demand in the world market from the same type of customers as Royal Greenland serves today. The range will primarily be strengthened with Chilean king crab, snow crab and seabass.
Royal Greenland’s objective is to use their experience and worldwide market presence to strengthen the value chain in which International Seafood and Blue Ocean operate.
