GAEL FORCE TO LAUNCH FABRICATOR WELDER APPRENTICESHIP SCHEME
Gael Force to launch fabricator welder apprenticeship scheme. Inverness-based Gael Force Engineering, part of Gael Force Group, has announced plans to offer apprenticeships to promising fabricator welders at their growing facility.
The announcement comes as the company prepares to take part in the Highland Apprenticeship Showcase at Inverness College UHI on Thursday 7 March. Representatives from Gael Force will be on hand to offer an interactive insight into the type of work the business is involved in, its exciting production schedule and the benefits of working for one of the Highland and Island’s fastest growing companies.
Activities at Gael Force Engineering’s yard include the design and manufacture of large concrete feed barges and the development of offshore feed systems for a growing aquaculture sector, as well as large floating pontoons and associated marina equipment for the UK’s commercial and leisure marine sectors. At present, there are around 60 staff based at their Inverness engineering facility, part of a wider group of employees of approximately 235 employees across the Gael Force Group.
Production Director Stephen Offord commented, “Our well-structured approach to work, and a commitment to quality through our accreditation to the ISO 9001:2015 standard provides us with the ideal conditions to offer a first class working environment to those who wish to be part of a very rewarding apprenticeship scheme”.
People Development Manager Claire Barnett commented, “There has never been a better time to join our team, with our ongoing investment in innovation and involvement in supplying growing marine sectors. As demonstrated by a number of our current employees, we are enthusiastic about offering our people the opportunity to be all they can be and develop with the company.”
At the start of this year, Gael Force Group announced it was recruiting up to 40 people into a variety of roles across its business as customer demand for its marine equipment, technology and services continue to increase.
